Friday Night Yoga

Last night we bathed in the light of the full moon and shared a beautiful asana practice with pranayama, mudras, mantras, and meditation. It was a lovely evening that ended with tea and snacks, and I can’t wait for the next one. The energy of the full moon is powerful, and it is a great time to go inward and reflect on all that we’ve accomplished since the last full moon. It’s also a wonderful time to decide what no longer serves you, and to gently release it. Our mantra for last night’s class was “I release,” and I could literally feel the stress drip off my body, only to be received by Her one and only, Mother Earth. It was magical and I hope to see you there for the next one.

I’ll be offering hot Hatha yoga on Friday nights starting in May at 802 Pilates Health and Fitness. If you haven’t been there, I highly encourage you to check it out! Karrie has so much life force and passion for health… her classes are always rejuvenating and electrifying! You can check out her schedule here to sign up for my classes, and hopefully you’ll poke around and try some other new classes while you’re there!

Hatha yoga aims to unite the mind-body-soul by using techniques like asana (postures), mudras (hand gestures), mantras (sacred chants), and meditation. It is a true holistic experience. It’s generally a slower pace, and we move in alignment with the breath. Wonderful for all levels of ability and experience!
